After my company Tremendousness created The Sugary Truth video, TED-Ed asked us if we wanted to collaborate on another sugar video with Dr. Robert Lustig.
We said yes.
While sugar is easy to spot in candy, soft drinks and ice cream, it also hides out in foods you might not expect—including peanut butter, pasta sauce and even bologna! Robert Lustig decodes confusing labels and sugar’s many aliases to help determine just how much of that sweet carbohydrate makes its way into our diets. We hope you enjoy it and learn a little something.
Check it out at TED-ED or on the Tremendousness site!

Wow!! What money can buy!! Of course there’s no recommended daily sugar intake available on any packaging because the sugar industry pays a lot of money for that.
If we were all to just take more time in watching what we eat and spending more time cooking meals from scratch, we would be better off.
